Wound from spring steel, they hold their rate consistently over repeated compressions, giving predictable ride height and weight transfer instead of the sag that comes from fatigued or mismatched springs. A 2.40 lb/in rate sits in the lighter-to-mid range of the available options for these 72mm shocks, softening initial suspension response for better small-bump compliance and traction on choppy or low-grip surfaces compared to a stiffer stock spring.
