Description
The Team Associated ASC91431 Gear Cover and Motor Guard shields the spur gear, pinion, and motor from dirt, mud, and debris thrown up by the tires during off-road and dirt oval running. Keeping contaminants out of the gear mesh reduces wear on both the spur and pinion gears and helps prevent grit from working its way into the motor can. The guard also offers a measure of impact protection for the motor during rollovers or side impacts against ruts and track debris. This cover is a direct fit for the DR10 and DR10M drag chassis, the Pro2 platform including the DK10SW, LT10SW, RT10SW, SC10, and SC10sw RTR, the ProSC10 short course truck, RB10 and RB10 Retro, the SR10 and SR10M dirt oval cars, and the Trophy Rat. A cracked or missing cover should be replaced promptly to keep the drivetrain running clean, extending gear life and reducing the frequency of drivetrain maintenance between events.
