The Team Associated ASC71051 Front Shock Bodies measure 12x27.5mm and are precision-machined from aluminum for the front shock absorbers. Aluminum construction offers a stiffer, more consistent bore than composite shock bodies, giving smoother, more predictable damping and better heat dissipation during long, hard runs. The tighter tolerances of a machined aluminum bore also reduce seal wear over time, helping the shocks hold their oil charge and damping characteristics longer between rebuilds. These shock bodies are a direct fit for the front shocks used on the DR10 drag chassis, the Pro2 platform including the DK10SW, LT10SW, RT10SW, SC10, and SC10sw RTR, the ProSC10 short course truck, RB10 and RB10 Retro, the SR10 and SR10M dirt oval cars, and the Trophy Rat. Upgrading to aluminum shock bodies is a popular first step for racers looking to improve suspension consistency and durability beyond the stock composite shocks, particularly on rough tracks where shocks see repeated hard cycling.
