Description
The UM789 is the strong servo saver ring for the Kyosho Ultima RT6.
A servo saver sits between the steering servo and the steering linkage and is designed to give slightly under a sharp impact, such as a wheel hitting a pipe or a landing that comes down crossed up, so that the shock load is absorbed by the saver rather than stripping the gears inside your servo. The trade-off is that a saver soft enough to protect the servo also introduces a small amount of vagueness in steering feel.
This strong ring shifts that balance toward precision, holding the linkage more firmly so that steering input reaches the wheels with less give and the truck responds more directly to the first few degrees of input.
It is the part to fit if your RT6 feels imprecise turning in, or if you are running a high-torque servo that can overpower a softer saver.
