Description
Kyosho 96641 is a genuine assortment of 3x5mm shims supplied in 0.1mm, 0.2mm, and 0.3mm thicknesses, ten pieces in total. Shims are how you take up the small amounts of end play that develop around 3mm shafts and bearings, and having three thicknesses in one pack means you can stack precisely to the clearance you want rather than guessing. Correct shimming removes slop from drivetrain and suspension assemblies, which sharpens response and stops parts hammering against each other.
These are general-purpose hardware, fitting anywhere a 3x5mm shim is called for across the Kyosho range including the Ultima and Lazer buggy families, the Inferno 1/8 platforms, and the V-One RRR. They work equally well on other brands using metric shafts. Being able to shim accurately is one of the differences between a chassis that feels tight and one that feels vague, and this assortment covers most of the situations you will meet during a build or rebuild.
