Description
The Kyosho UM716 Crank Arm Set is the genuine steering assembly for Kyosho's 1/10 scale 2WD Ultima buggies. The crank arms are the pivoting links that translate servo movement into steering at both front wheels, and together with the steering rack they set Ackermann geometry, which determines how much the inside wheel turns relative to the outside one through a corner. That geometry has a direct effect on how the car rotates and how much steering it has at mid-corner.
Because the steering assembly sits at the very front of the chassis, it absorbs impacts head-on, and a cracked crank arm introduces slop that shows up as vague, delayed steering response. This set installs as a direct replacement for the kit parts on the Ultima RB6 and RT6 with no modification. The package includes the steering cranks, the steering rack, and four 5x7x1mm spacers, so you have everything needed to rebuild the assembly in one go.
