Description
The Kyosho UM520S Short Rear Shock Stay is the genuine wide short rear shock tower for Kyosho's 1/10 scale 2WD racing buggy. The shock tower is a primary tuning component: where the shock mounts on the tower sets the damper angle and leverage ratio, which changes how the rear suspension responds to bumps and how much the chassis rolls under load. This short, wide version lays the shocks over at a different angle than the standard tower, a setup Kyosho's factory drivers used to chase more rear traction and a smoother feel on rough tracks.
Molded from carbon composite, it delivers high stiffness with light weight and holds up to the repeated impact loads a rear tower absorbs. This part is standard equipment on the Ultima RB5 SP2 WC and installs as a direct-fit option on the RB5 and RB5 SP, appearing as the Wide Short choice on Kyosho's own setup sheets. Package includes one rear shock stay.
