Description
The Kyosho LA207 Slipper Spring is a genuine replacement tension spring for the slipper clutch on Kyosho 1/10 off-road vehicles. Sitting behind the slipper nut, this coil spring applies the clamping pressure that holds the slipper plates against the spur gear, and adjusting preload on it is how you fine-tune slip. A correctly tensioned slipper protects the transmission from shock loads on hard landings and helps put power down smoothly in loose conditions.
Springs fatigue over time as they cycle and compress, and a tired spring makes slipper settings drift so the clutch slips more than it should. Installing a fresh factory spring restores consistent, repeatable slipper action. This is a direct replacement for the Lazer ZX-5 series through the ZX7, and it also fits the Ultima RT5, SC, DB, and RB5 models that share the same slipper design. Package includes one slipper spring, a cheap insurance part every Kyosho racer should keep on hand.
