Description
A set of four optional dish wheels for the Kyosho Inferno MP9 TKI4 and related 1/8 scale buggies.
These are an upgrade over the standard wheel rather than a straight replacement, and Kyosho is specific about what they change: the outer diameter is 1mm larger while the set is 24 grams lighter than stock. Both numbers work in your favour. The extra diameter raises the rolling circumference slightly, and the weight saving comes off unsprung rotating mass, which is the most valuable place on the car to lose weight. Lighter wheels let the suspension respond faster over bumps, reduce the gyroscopic effort needed to change direction, and put less load on the drivetrain accelerating out of corners.
The dish design also stiffens the wheel face compared with a spoked pattern, which helps it survive the sidewall loading of 1/8 scale cornering without flexing.
Kyosho lists these for the Inferno MP9 TKI4 V2, Inferno MP9e Evo. V2 and Inferno NEO 3.0. Four wheels are supplied, tires and inserts not included.
