Description
This is the body mount set for the Kyosho Inferno MP9 Readyset.
The body mounts are the posts the body shell sits on and is pinned to. On a 1/8 scale buggy they do more work than they look like they do, because the body is large, it catches a lot of air at speed, and every rollover and cartwheel loads the mounts directly. They are among the parts most likely to snap in a heavy crash, and a broken mount usually means the body flaps loose for the rest of the run.
Mount height and position also determine how the body sits on the chassis. A shell mounted too high or sitting crooked changes airflow over it and looks wrong, and a body that is not properly located can rub on the tires at full suspension compression.
Supplied as a set, so it rebuilds the mounting rather than patching one post. This is the Readyset version of the MP9 specifically. Note that Kyosho has since revised this part as IF278B.
