Description
The Losi TLR243011 is a pair of 16mm shock pistons drilled with a 1.3mm hole pattern, built for the 8IGHT 3.0. This slightly larger bore than the 1.2mm option allows a bit more oil flow through the piston, producing a marginally softer damping feel while still delivering the control racers expect from a well-tuned 1/8 buggy shock.
Having a range of piston hole sizes on hand lets you fine-tune your damping curve independently of oil weight, giving you finer control over shock feel than adjusting oil alone. Pistons see constant wear from oil flow and can pick up debris over a season of racing, so periodically refreshing them during a shock rebuild helps maintain consistent, predictable damping. This genuine Losi pair matches the factory 16mm diameter used in the 8IGHT 3.0's shock bodies, so it installs cleanly during a rebuild.
