Their small size means they tuck easily into structures, vehicles, streetscapes, and other compact spaces on an HO scale model railroad where a standard speaker simply won't fit.
Despite their size, Micro Speakers hold up well for close-range sound effects like a shopkeeper's radio, a small appliance, or a background hum inside a building, and they pair naturally with the Grill Cloth Kit (JS6964) for a fully hidden installation once painted and blended into the scene.
