Rear shock tower for the Traxxas Sledge, 5mm thick, made from multiple layers of carbon fiber.
Carbon fiber is the lightest way to get real stiffness into the shock tower. The tower carries the upper shock mounts and takes the full load of every landing, so any flex there lets shock geometry move under load and makes damping inconsistent exactly when you need it most. Layered carbon resists that while shaving weight off the highest point on the chassis, which also helps the truck's centre of gravity.
As a genuine Traxxas accessory it fits without filing or modification, unlike generic aftermarket towers.
