Stainless is the upgrade over the standard kit. Ordinary bearing steel corrodes quickly once water gets past the seal, and a rusted bearing binds and destroys itself fast. Stainless resists that, which makes this the sensible choice if the truck runs in wet conditions, gets washed regularly, or lives somewhere humid.
