Bearings are consumable. Water, grit, and sustained heat break down the grease and pit the races, and worn bearings quietly cost you runtime and top speed long before they start making noise. Replacing the full set at once is far more effective than chasing individual bearings as they fail, and it gives you a known baseline for the whole drivetrain.
