The Traxxas 9181-BLUE is the Outer Driveline and Suspension Upgrade Kit for the Slash 2WD in blue — the extreme heavy duty package that hardens the truck's most failure-prone components in one purchase.
The stock outer driveline and suspension parts are engineered around the power the truck ships with. Add a hotter motor, a bigger battery, or simply drive harder, and the caster blocks, steering blocks, stub axle carriers and associated hardware become the weak links. This kit replaces them with extreme heavy duty versions built for sustained abuse.
The blue anodized finish coordinates with Traxxas's blue accessory line, so the upgrade doubles as a visual one. The individual EHD replacement parts (9136 caster blocks, 9137 steering blocks, 9150 carriers) are designed around this kit, and the black version is part 9181.
