Traxxas 9050T Orange Extreme HD Axle Carriers

The Traxxas 9050T is a pair of replacement left and right stub axle carriers for the Extreme Heavy Duty Upgrade Kit, supplied with 3x41 mm hinge pins (2) and 3x20 mm screws (2).

These are the composite replacements rather than an upgrade. If you run the 9080 kit and have damaged a carrier, this restores it at a fraction of the cost of the machined alternative. Traxxas also lists aluminum stub axle carriers for the same kit under the 9065 series at roughly seven times the price, so the decision is between a like-for-like repair and a permanent strength upgrade.

Stub axle carriers hold the rear wheel assemblies and house the bearings the axles run in. They take cornering loads and impact shock directly, and their condition affects both rear alignment and how long the bearings last. A cracked carrier lets the wheel move under load, which produces handling inconsistency long before the damage is obvious.

Because the hinge pins and screws are included, a repair needs nothing sourced separately. Worth keeping on the shelf as a spare for anyone running the Extreme HD system hard.
