Description
The Traxxas 8370 is a pair of sticky 1.9" Response extra-wide tires supplied with foam inserts. Response tires provide razor-sharp handling and superior grip on pavement with an aggressive tread pattern and a high-grip rubber compound.
These are grip tires, not drift tires, and that distinction matters. Where a drift compound is chosen to break traction predictably, Response rubber is designed to hold it. This is what you fit to a 4-Tec 2.0 being driven for outright pace on tarmac rather than a car being run sideways.
The extra-wide profile increases the contact patch, which raises mechanical grip and improves stability under power and braking. On a fast on-road chassis that translates directly into higher cornering speeds and more confident turn-in.
Foam inserts are included. The insert supports the tire carcass and controls how it deforms under cornering load, which prevents the tire from folding over on itself at speed. Without a properly matched insert even a good tire behaves unpredictably.
Please note an inconsistency in Traxxas' own listing: the product heading describes these as rear tires while the description text refers to front tires. Confirm the fitment you need against your parts diagram before ordering.
