Description
GTX shock spring retainers (adjusters) machined from aluminum with a dark gray anodized finish, supplied as a set of four with integrated O-rings.
The spring retainer threads onto the shock body and sets spring preload, which is how you dial in ride height and how much the truck squats under its own weight. Getting preload right matters more on the X-Maxx than on most trucks simply because of how much mass the suspension has to control — too little and the truck sits low and bottoms out, too much and it rides harsh and skips over bumps instead of absorbing them.
The integrated O-ring is the detail that makes these worth having. It creates friction against the shock body threads so the collar holds its setting instead of walking loose from vibration, which means the ride height you set is the ride height you keep. Being able to adjust each corner independently also lets you correct a truck that sits unevenly or tune front-to-rear balance.
