Steel extreme heavy-duty drive cups for the X-Maxx and XRT, sold as a pair. These replace the standard drive cups with a substantially stronger steel design built to survive the shock loads that 8S power puts through the driveline.
The drive cup is where the driveshaft meets the differential output, and it takes the full brunt of every throttle punch, every landing, and every time a tire grabs unexpectedly. It's one of the classic failure points on high-power monster trucks — a rounded or cracked cup will chew up the driveshaft pin and can leave you stranded mid-run. Stepping up to the extreme heavy-duty steel version is one of the smartest reliability investments you can make if you're running big power, big tires, or both.
Because these are steel rather than the standard material, expect a small weight increase in exchange for a large durability gain — a trade most X-Maxx owners make willingly after their first failure.
