X-Maxx rear upper and lower bulkhead set, supplied complete with steel motor mount washers and mounting screws.
The rear bulkhead is the structural backbone of the back half of the truck. It carries the rear differential, anchors the motor mount, and takes the reaction loads every time you get on the throttle — which on an 8S truck is a substantial amount of twist. A cracked or flexing bulkhead throws off gear mesh, which accelerates wear on the spur and pinion and can cause skipping under load. Replacing a tired bulkhead restores correct driveline geometry and quiet, consistent mesh.
The included steel motor mount washers matter more than their size suggests: they spread the clamping load from the motor mount screws so the mounting bosses don't crush or deform over time, which is a common cause of creeping gear mesh on high-power trucks.
