The Traxxas 7476 is a pair of 0.87-rate shock springs for 1/10 scale short GTR shocks, made from high-quality spring steel with a durable powder-coated finish for consistent rate retention and corrosion resistance.
GTR springs are offered in multiple rates so you can tune suspension performance or compensate for lighter or heavier vehicle configurations. The higher the rate, the stiffer the spring. At 0.87 this is the stiffest of the three rates in this group, which makes it the right choice for a heavier vehicle, for a truck carrying added weight from larger batteries or metal upgrade parts, or for high-speed and big-jump running where a softer spring lets the chassis bottom out on landing.
Stiffer springs also reduce body roll and sharpen turn-in response on high-grip surfaces. The trade-off is compliance: on rough or loose ground a spring this firm can skip across bumps instead of tracking through them, so it rewards smooth surfaces and heavier setups.
