Description
The Traxxas 7450 is an Extreme Heavy-Duty front driveshaft assembly with a 6 mm axle and screw pin, supplied fully assembled and ready to install. It fits either the left or right side.
The front driveshaft transmits drive from the differential out to the wheel while accommodating both suspension travel and steering angle simultaneously. That dual articulation is what makes front driveshafts the most stressed part of the drivetrain on a 4X4, and why they are among the most commonly replaced components on a hard-run vehicle.
The Extreme Heavy-Duty specification addresses exactly that. The 6 mm axle is substantially stronger than a standard shaft, which matters most under the shock loading that happens when a spinning wheel suddenly regains traction on landing. That moment is what strips or twists a standard driveshaft.
It arrives fully assembled and ready to install, so there is no building required at the bench. Because it fits either side, a single part number covers both front corners, which makes it simpler to stock as a spare.
Suitable both as a replacement for a failed shaft and as a durability upgrade over standard components for anyone running brushless power or larger batteries.
