Description
The Traxxas 7419 is a set of left and right side trim pieces with retainers for 7412-series Ford Fiesta ST clipless bodies.
Side trim runs along the lower flanks of the shell, which is precisely where a rally car collects damage. Ruts, kerbs, gravel thrown up by the tyres, and contact with scenery all land on that lower edge, and it is one of the first areas to scuff and split on a body that sees real use.
Fitting trim puts a sacrificial layer between the shell and all of it. The trim wears down, which is exactly its function, and replacing a set costs a fraction of replacing the body it protects.
It also matters visually. Side trim is part of what gives a scale rally car its finished appearance, and a shell missing it looks unfinished regardless of how good the paint is.
Fitment is specific to 7412-series Fiesta ST bodies, which covers the clear shell and the painted versions built on it. Both left and right pieces plus retainers are included, so one part number covers both sides.
