Description
The Traxxas 7410 is a set of replacement front body reinforcements for 7412-series Ford Fiesta ST Rally clipless bodies. It includes the body posts and screws.
On a clipless body the reinforcements do the structural work. They spread the loads generated by the latching system across a wider area of the shell rather than concentrating stress at a few small mounting points, which is what stops the holes elongating and tearing out after repeated impacts and rolls.
They earn their keep on a rally car in particular. Rally driving means loose surfaces, ruts, and regular contact with scenery, so the body takes more sustained abuse than it would on a track car. Once a reinforcement cracks or a post pulls loose, the shell starts shifting under load, latches stop seating properly, and the damage escalates quickly into the polycarbonate itself.
Replacing the reinforcement set is far cheaper than replacing the body it protects, and because the posts and screws are included the repair needs nothing sourced separately.
Fitment is specific to 7412-series Fiesta ST Rally bodies, which covers the clear shell and the painted versions built on it.
