Description
The Traxxas 6966 is a set of clipless latch mounts and retainers — front and rear, left and right — for the Traxxas clipless body mounting system.
These are the chassis-side components that the body latches engage. Together with the 6967 latches, they are what a clear or unfinished body needs in order to mount clipless. The 6965 Slash 4X4 clear body, for example, ships without any latch hardware and requires both parts.
The clipless system replaces traditional body posts and clips. The body snaps on and off in seconds for battery changes and maintenance, nothing gets lost in the grass, and the body lines stay clean with no clips showing.
If you are converting an older Slash chassis that has never had clipless mounting, the complete conversion kit — part 6934 — is usually the better buy, since it bundles mounts, latches and hardware together.
