Description
The Traxxas 6953 is a set of front and rear clipless body mounts for the Slash. These mounts secure directly to the shock towers to provide a firm base for clipless bodies, replacing the traditional body post and clip arrangement with a rigid, purpose-built mounting platform.
The clipless system exists to eliminate the body clips that get lost on the track and the tall posts that snag and tear the shell. That only works if the mounting base underneath is solid. These mounts are what the body latches onto, so they absorb every impact the body transmits during a roll or a hard landing. A cracked or flexing mount lets the body move around under load, which quickly leads to torn mounting points and a shell that no longer sits square on the chassis.
These are direct replacements for the factory mounts and attach at the original shock tower locations. No drilling or modification is needed, and body fitment is unchanged after installation.
