Description
The Traxxas 5975X is a pair of assembled and pre-glued SCT tire and wheel units built for racing. Each unit combines an SCT Split-Spoke beadlock-style wheel with an SCT off-road racing tire in the S1 compound and a foam insert, mounted and glued at the factory.
The S1 compound is the softest of the Traxxas racing compounds. It trades tread life for outright grip, and it is the right choice on a clay or loam track where mechanical traction matters more than how long the tire lasts. On abrasive or high-grip surfaces it will wear quickly, so most racers keep S1 sets for race day and run a harder compound for practice.
The wheels use the standard short course dual-profile sizing, 2.2 inches at the outer bead and 3.0 inches inside, which supports the wide short course tire carcass. The beadlock ring is a molded styling element rather than functional hardware, so there is nothing to assemble.
These are a performance-oriented alternative to the stock all-purpose rubber rather than a like-for-like replacement. They arrive glued with inserts fitted and bolt straight onto the hex.
