Description
The Traxxas 5975 is a pair of fully assembled, pre-glued tire and wheel units for the Slayer Pro 4X4. Each unit pairs an SCT Split-Spoke beadlock-style wheel with a licensed BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM2 tire and a foam insert, mounted and glued at the factory.
The KM2 is a scale replica of the full-size BFGoodrich light-truck tire, reproducing the aggressive staggered lugs and reinforced sidewall shoulder of the original. That tread pattern digs into loose dirt, gravel and mud while still tracking predictably on hardpack, which makes it a practical all-around choice for a short course truck that runs mixed terrain rather than a single prepared surface.
The wheels use dual-profile sizing, 2.2 inches at the outer bead and 3.0 inches inside, which is the short course standard and gives the tire its wide footprint. The beadlock ring is a molded styling feature rather than functional hardware, so there is nothing to bolt together.
Because these arrive glued with inserts already installed, they mount to the hex and run immediately. This is a direct replacement for worn factory rubber and a straightforward way to keep a spare set on hand.
