Description
The Traxxas 5972 is a pair of SCT beadlock-style short course wheels, supplied as wheels only without tires or inserts. This is the part to order when the rubber is still usable but a wheel has been cracked, gouged or torn at the bead.
Wheels take damage that is easy to overlook. A hairline crack in the rim face or a chipped bead flange will let a glued tire creep and eventually separate under cornering load, and no amount of fresh glue fixes a rim that has lost its edge. Replacing the wheel and re-gluing the existing tire is often far cheaper than buying a complete assembly.
Sizing follows the short course dual-profile standard, 2.2 inches at the outer bead and 3.0 inches inside. That geometry is what gives short course tires their wide contact patch and distinctive stance, and it is not interchangeable with standard 2.2 or 3.0 inch wheels.
The beadlock detailing is molded into the rim face as a styling element, so no separate rings or hardware are required. These are a direct replacement for the factory wheels and use the standard hex fitment.
Fits: Traxxas Slayer Pro 4X4 (model 59076-3) and other short course models using dual-profile wheels.
