Description
The Traxxas 5912 is the replacement clear body for the Slayer Pro 4X4 1/10-scale nitro short course truck. It ships unpainted so you choose the design yourself, making it equally suited to a fully custom build or a straight swap for a shell that has taken one landing too many.
The body comes fully trimmed and ready to paint. Window masking and a decal sheet are included, and a pre-applied overspray film protects the outer surface while you work. That removes most of the prep: mask the windows, lay down your backing coats, peel the film, and apply the decals.
Molded from clear polycarbonate, it carries the factory Slayer Pro 4X4 profile and mounts to the stock body posts without modification. Traxxas ProGraphix paint is formulated for polycarbonate bodies and gives the cleanest results, though any hobby-grade polycarbonate paint will work.
This is a direct replacement for the stock Slayer Pro 4X4 body rather than a performance upgrade. The benefit is a fresh, undamaged shell and complete control over the finished look, at a fraction of the cost of a pre-painted body.
