Description
The Traxxas 5879-BLK is a pair of BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM2 tires, pre-glued and mounted with foam inserts onto SCT wheels with beadlock-style trim.
These are the 2WD front pair. That is the single most important thing to know before ordering: this part fits 12 mm hex, 2WD front only. It is the companion to the rear pair rather than a universal fitment, so a 2WD short course truck needs this set for the front and a separate set for the rear. Ordering two of the same part will not give you a complete set of four.
They arrive pre-glued and pre-mounted with foam inserts already installed. Hand-gluing tires is slow, messy work, and a poor glue joint fails by letting the tire unseat from the rim mid-run. Buying them finished removes that risk and gets the truck back on the ground immediately.
The Mud-Terrain KM2 tread is a licensed BFGoodrich pattern, so it is a genuine scale replica rather than a generic design, and the aggressive open lugs work well on loose dirt, grass, and mud.
