Description
The Traxxas 5878-BLK is a pair of BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM2 tires, pre-glued and mounted with foam inserts onto SCT wheels with beadlock-style trim.
Pre-glued and pre-mounted is the key point. Gluing tires to wheels by hand is one of the least enjoyable jobs in the hobby: it is messy, it is slow, and a bad glue joint fails at exactly the wrong moment by letting the tire peel off the rim mid-run. These arrive finished and ready to bolt on, with the foam inserts already fitted to support the carcass and control how the tire deforms under load.
The Mud-Terrain KM2 is a licensed BFGoodrich pattern, so the tread is a genuine scale replica rather than a generic block design. That matters for anyone building a truck with a realistic look, and the aggressive open-lug pattern also does real work on loose dirt, grass, and mud.
Fitment is specific: 12 mm hex, suitable for 4X4 front and rear, but 2WD rear only. On a 2WD vehicle you will need the matching front pair separately, as the front wheel on those trucks uses a different part.
