Description
The Traxxas 5874A is a pair of SCT satin chrome wheels with a red beadlock-style ring for the front position, supplied as wheels only without tires or foam inserts.
This is the same front wheel as the 5874 apart from the red beadlock ring, so match by part number when replacing one side of an existing set. The rear and 4X4 equivalent in a red beadlock finish is 5868.
Check the fitment before ordering: on a 2WD Slash the front wheels are narrower than the rears, since the front axle carries no drive load and the narrower track improves steering feel.
Order these when your front tires still have usable tread but a rim has cracked, chipped at the bead flange, or been gouged past the point of holding glue. A damaged bead edge lets the tire creep under load however carefully it is re-glued, so replacing the wheel and reusing sound rubber is the economical repair.
Sizing follows the short course dual-profile standard, 2.2 inches at the outer bead and 3.0 inches inside. The beadlock ring is molded styling rather than functional hardware.
