Description
The Traxxas 5863R is a pair of assembled, pre-glued race-compound tire and wheel units: SCT black wheels with an orange beadlock-style ring, SCT off-road racing tires in the ultra-soft S1 compound, and foam inserts, mounted and glued at the factory. They are TSM rated for use with Traxxas Stability Management.
S1 is the softest compound Traxxas offers. It conforms to surface texture more readily than standard rubber, delivering a clear step up in mechanical grip on clay, loam and medium-bite tracks. Tread life drops sharply on abrasive surfaces in exchange, so most racers keep S1 sets for qualifying and mains and practice on standard rubber. The standard-compound version of this set is 5863.
The SCT off-road racing tread is the balanced general-purpose pattern, with lug spacing open enough for loose dirt yet enough block area to stay composed on hardpack.
Sizing follows the short course dual-profile standard, 2.2 inches at the outer bead and 3.0 inches inside; the beadlock ring is molded styling rather than functional hardware. Fitment is 4WD front and rear, or 2WD rear only.
Fits: Traxxas Slash 4X4 front/rear, Slash 2WD and Slash VXL rear.
Includes: two assembled tire and wheel units with foam inserts.
