Description
The Traxxas 5832-BLK is the low-CG upper chassis for the Slash 2WD, molded in black.
The low-CG chassis lowers the truck's center of gravity by seating the battery and electronics further down in the frame. The practical result is less body roll through corners and a truck that is far less prone to traction-rolling on high-grip surfaces — the single most useful handling change available to a 2WD Slash.
This is the upper chassis only. A complete low-CG setup also needs a matching lower chassis: Traxxas lists this part as requiring #5831-BLK, 5831-BLUE, 5831-DGRY or 5831-STGRY. If you are converting a standard Slash rather than replacing a damaged part, the 5830 conversion kit bundles what the swap requires.
Order this as a replacement when the chassis has cracked or been bent past straightening, or as a color change on a truck that already runs the low-CG setup.
