Description
The Traxxas 5831-DGRY is the low-CG lower chassis for the Slash 2WD, molded in dark gray.
The low-CG chassis comes in two pieces. This is the lower half, the plate that holds the battery and runs closest to the ground, which means it takes the punishment from hard landings and anything the truck scrapes over. It is the most commonly replaced part of a low-CG setup.
It pairs with a low-CG upper chassis — 5832-BLK, 5832-BLUE, 5832-DGRY or 5832-STGRY — and will not fit a standard Slash chassis. If you are converting a standard truck rather than replacing damage, the 5830 conversion kit covers what is needed.
Replace it once the plate has cracked, worn thin from skidding, or bent enough to throw off suspension geometry. Dark gray is the deeper of the two gray finishes in this line; the lighter option is 5831-STGRY.
