Description
The Traxxas 5831-BLUE is the low-CG lower chassis for the Slash 2WD, molded in blue.
The low-CG setup is a two-piece chassis. This is the lower half — the plate that carries the battery and rides closest to the ground — so it absorbs the impact of every hard landing and every obstacle the truck drags across. On a low-CG truck it is the part most likely to need replacing.
It pairs with a low-CG upper chassis: 5832-BLK, 5832-BLUE, 5832-DGRY or 5832-STGRY. It does not fit the standard Slash chassis. For converting a standard truck rather than replacing a damaged part, the 5830 conversion kit covers the swap.
Replace it when the plate has cracked, skidded thin, or bent enough that suspension geometry no longer sits square — a warped lower chassis reads as a truck that pulls to one side regardless of alignment.
The blue finish coordinates with Traxxas's blue anodized accessory line.
