Description
This is the genuine Traxxas upper chassis.
The upper chassis ties the top of the chassis together and carries the electronics and body mounting hardware. It works with the lower chassis as a structural pair, adding torsional stiffness so the frame does not twist under cornering and landing loads.
Because it sits high on the car, the upper chassis takes direct hits in rollovers that the lower chassis is shielded from. Cracks here let the frame flex, which makes the truck feel vague and inconsistent even when the suspension is set correctly.
This is a direct factory replacement requiring no modification. Package includes one upper chassis.
