Description
The Traxxas 3639-SLGRY is the front shock tower for the Slash 2WD, molded in slate gray.
The shock tower anchors the top of both front shocks and takes the full load of every landing before it reaches the chassis. It is one of the parts most likely to crack on a truck that jumps regularly, and a cracked tower changes shock geometry well before it breaks clean through — which shows up as inconsistent front damping that no amount of oil or spring tuning will fix.
Check the tower any time the truck starts handling differently after a hard session. Hairline cracks around the shock mounting holes are the usual failure point.
This is the front tower; the rear equivalent is 3638. The slate gray finish coordinates with the gray low-CG chassis and suspension components.
Fits: Traxxas Slash 2WD (also fits Stampede and Rustler front).
