Description
This is the Traxxas rear shock tower for the Rustler 2WD, in the version made for clipless body mounting. The rear shock tower is the structure that anchors the upper ends of the rear shocks and, on clipless-equipped trucks, also carries the rear body latch geometry, which is why this specific version is required when running the clipless mounting system.
Shock towers take load two ways: constantly through the shocks on every bump and landing, and suddenly in rollovers where the tower is often the first thing to hit the ground. A cracked tower changes shock angle and lets the rear end wallow; a broken one ends the run.
This is a direct factory replacement requiring no modification. If your Rustler uses body clips rather than the clipless latch system, verify your setup before ordering, as this tower is specific to the clipless configuration.
