Description
The Traxxas 3424 is a small rubber pit mat measuring 19" x 13" (49 x 33 cm), the right addition to an RC workbench when space is limited.
Chemical-resistant, heavy-gauge rubber construction takes a pounding and protects the work surface underneath from damage. That resistance matters because the fluids that end up on a bench during a rebuild, shock oil, diff oil, motor spray, and thread lock, are exactly the things that ruin a bare tabletop.
Two magnetic compartments keep screws from rolling away. Anyone who has spent ten minutes on hands and knees looking for a 3x8 mm screw understands why that feature justifies the mat on its own. Additional compartments are laid out to organise parts and tools during a strip-down, so components go back together in the right order.
The 19" x 13" size is specified as ideal for Traxxas 1/16 and 1/18 scale vehicles, which makes it the natural choice for a LaTrax Rally or similar small-scale car rather than the larger mats intended for 1/10 and up.
Traxxas also offers medium (3425) and large (3426) pit mats if you work on bigger vehicles or want more bench coverage.
