Description
These are genuine Traxxas 3x15mm washerhead self-tapping screws, supplied in a pack of six.
The integrated washer flange under the head spreads clamping load across a wider area of the composite part, which prevents the head from pulling through or cracking plastic under repeated impact the way a plain screw head can.
The self-tapping thread is designed to cut its own thread in composite material, so it holds where a machine screw would strip. At 15mm this is the longer of the common washerhead sizes, used where the screw has to reach through a thicker section.
Correct-spec spare hardware on the bench is cheap insurance against a stripped or lost screw ending a run day. Package includes six 3x15mm washerhead self-tapping screws.
