The Traxxas 2949 is a 2-amp USB-C NiMH battery charger with Traxxas iD technology, delivering charging virtually anywhere.
The iD system is the easiest and safest way to charge Traxxas batteries. The charger automatically recognises an iD-equipped battery and optimises the charge settings the moment it is plugged in. There is no guesswork, no menu to navigate, and no risk of setting the wrong cell count.
Running on conventional USB-C power is the practical advantage. Any USB-C supply will drive it: a laptop, a power bank, a car adapter, or a phone charger. That makes it genuinely portable in a way a mains-only charger is not, which suits taking a car to a park, a track, or on holiday.
Specifications: powered by conventional USB-C supply, 20 watt 2-amp maximum output, auto-recognises Traxxas iD-equipped batteries, optimises charger settings automatically, LED progress indicator, and charges 5-7 cell NiMH batteries.
Important safety note: this is a NiMH-only charger. Never attempt to charge a LiPo battery with it. LiPo chemistry requires a balance charger designed for it, and using the wrong charger risks fire.
