These are genuine Traxxas 3x12mm countersunk self-tapping screws, supplied in a pack of six.
Hardware is the quiet failure point in RC. Screws strip, round out under a worn hex driver, or simply vanish into the grass during a trailside repair, and a missing screw in the wrong place lets a part work loose until something bigger breaks.
The countersunk head sits flush in the part rather than proud of the surface, and the self-tapping thread is designed to cut its own thread in composite parts, which is why Traxxas specifies this type where a machine screw would not hold.
Keeping a pack of correct-spec Traxxas hardware on the bench costs very little and saves improvising with the wrong screw. Package includes six 3x12mm countersunk self-tapping screws.
