Traxxas 10865-GRN Green Aluminum Mini GTR Short Shocks

The Traxxas 10865-GRN is a complete set of four aluminum Mini GTR short shocks, the ultimate suspension upgrade for a Mini vehicle.

The brilliantly anodized aluminum shock bodies are coated with PTFE for the slickest damping action available. Their large bores hold more oil than standard shocks, which gives consistent damping over the roughest terrain: more oil means the shock takes longer to heat up and fade, so behaviour stays the same from the first lap to the last.

Titanium-nitride coated shafts resist scuffing, increase durability, and eliminate stiction. That last point matters most. Stiction is the initial resistance a shock has to overcome before it starts moving, and it is what stops a suspension responding to small surface texture. Removing it means the shock tracks the ground instead of skipping across it.

X-rings keep oil in and dirt out for smooth suspension action, which is a meaningful upgrade over standard O-ring seals on a car running loose surfaces.

Spring preload and ride height changes are as simple as turning the threaded spring collars, and the lower spring retainers feature a locking screw to prevent pop-off mid-run.
