Description
The Traxxas 10857 is the plastic center driveshaft for the Mini Slash 4X4, sized for the 235mm wheelbase chassis. It is the standard-material shaft for geared center setups.
The center shaft transfers power from the transmission to the differentials, and this is the direct replacement when the original is worn, cracked, or twisted from hard use. Plastic construction keeps cost down and gives the driveline a designed failure point — a shaft that gives up before something more expensive does is a feature, not a flaw, on a truck that gets jumped.
Important fitment detail: this shaft is for a geared center setup, not direct drive. It requires either the #10758 slipper clutch or the #10760 center differential, plus the matching pinion gear — #10862 for Mini Slash and Mini Rally VXL, or #10762 for Mini Maxx and Mini XRT. The aluminum version of this shaft is #10855X. Package includes one center driveshaft.
