Description
The Traxxas 10580 is a pair of 1.9" rear wide soft-compound drift tires, marked with 2 dots, supplied with rubber inserts.
Soft-compound drift tires provide the combination of durability and breakaway potential needed for refined drift control on smooth surfaces. Soft belongs on polished concrete and smooth indoor floors; on abrasive asphalt it wears quickly and grips more than a drift setup wants.
Rear compound is the more consequential choice of the two, since the rear tires are the ones being deliberately broken loose and held at angle. On a slick surface the softer compound provides just enough purchase to make that breakaway progressive rather than sudden, which is what makes an angle holdable.
These are tires only, with rubber inserts included but no wheels. That makes them the economical option if you already have rims, and the practical one if you keep separate sets of compounds mounted for different venues.
Rear fitment is wide, distinct from the narrow fronts. The matching front soft-compound tires are 10578. Pre-mounted rear soft sets are listed under 10576, bare rear wheels under 10572, and the hard-compound rear equivalent is 10573.
