The Traxxas 10560 is a pair of short-length Ultra Shock springs in 1.057 rate.
Ultra Shock springs are offered in different rates to tune suspension performance or compensate for lighter or heavier vehicle configurations. The rule is simple: the higher the spring rate number, the firmer the spring.
Spring rate is one of the cheapest and most effective handling adjustments available. Softer springs generate more mechanical grip and absorb rough surfaces better; firmer springs reduce body roll, sharpen response, and stop the chassis bottoming out on a heavier build or under hard loading. Changing a pair takes minutes and costs a fraction of any other setup change, which is why experienced drivers keep several rates on the shelf and swap to suit conditions rather than settling for one compromise.
Weight is the other reason to change rate. Adding a larger battery, aluminum hop-up parts, or heavier electronics loads the suspension more than the factory springs were chosen for, and moving up a rate restores the intended ride height and damping behaviour.
These are the short-length version, so confirm your shocks take short springs before ordering, since Ultra Shock springs come in multiple lengths that are not interchangeable.
