Description
The Traxxas 10542 is a pair of adjustable 36 mm steel toe links.
Toe links set the toe angle of the wheels, and toe is one of the most effective handling adjustments available on any chassis. Toe-in adds straight-line stability, which steadies a car at speed and keeps the rear predictable. Toe-out sharpens turn-in and helps the car rotate, which on a drift chassis affects how readily it takes and holds an angle.
Being adjustable turnbuckles rather than fixed links means that setting can be changed between runs with a wrench, without removing or swapping parts. That is the difference between a car you can tune to the surface and one locked into whatever the factory decided.
Steel is the right material for a link that sits exposed and takes impact loads. Steel turnbuckles resist bending far better than lighter alternatives, which matters because a bent link silently changes your alignment and the driver usually blames the setup long before checking the linkage.
These are 36 mm links specifically. Traxxas offers toe links in several lengths for different positions and chassis, so confirm the length your application calls for before ordering.
